Social cues has some real bangers in the first half of the album, definitely easy to like, and that brings the average up quite a bit. I think Melophobia has the best overall structure and general quality as an album
Rank Melophobia. I've been making these for the first two albums and Perfect Confusion, and after this I'll add up the four posts and rank all the songs. There's only three rankings for Perfect Confusion, so I'm gonna need a few more to put it in the overall. Telescope. Teeth.
To their considerable credit, Cage the Elephant don't sound stuck in any one of their possible pasts on 2013's Melophobia, their third album and their most assured LP to date. Influences and heroes can be heard -- the Pixies, sure, but also the Strokes on the tightly wound "Take It or Leave It," the Kills (whose Alison Mosshart guests on "It's

Its catchy melody and memorable lyrics make it one of Cage The Elephantâs best songs, showcasing their knack for creating emotional and introspective indie rock gems. 2. âAinât No Rest for the Wickedâ (2009) As one of Cage The Elephant âs best songs, â Ainât No Rest for the Wicked â from their 2009 album Cage The Elephant
âCome a Little Closerâ â from the album âMelophobiaâ (2013) By 2013, Cage the Elephant had more in common with Maroon 5 or Coldplay but wouldâve preferred to sound like Pixies. âCome a Little Closerâ goes a long way in bridging that gap. For one thing, itâs a gorgeous pop tune.
Their middle albums were a departure from the raw nature of the early albums. Gimme Fiction (2005) and Kill the Moonlight (2002) are the middle albums, and are much cleaner than the early albums. Gimme Fiction is probably their most well known, and is recognized by singles like My Mathematical Mind and I Summon You.
The first three are greet albums. Iâm pretty sure the first 2 were only released on black vinyl whereas Melophobia had an extremely limited 500 on translucent yellow vinyl & TMIP had a signed/clear vinyl release on their PledgeMusic at the time.
2015 release, the fourth studio album the Grammy-nominated alt-rock band. Tell Me I'm Pretty was recorded in the spring of 2015 at Easy Eye Sound in Nashville, Tennessee. The album was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys and The Arcs (Lana Del Rey, Ray LaMontagne, The Black Keys, The Arcs) and mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Amy Winehouse, Adele
1 - Unpeeled (I always get downvoted to hell for this, but itâs my personal favourite) 2 - Cage the Elephant 3 - Tell Me Iâm Pretty 4 - Melophobia 5 - Thank You Happy Birthday 6 - Social Cues I enjoy them all, but the top 4 are definitely a step beyond the last two for me.
